challis creek diversion intake
QCI served as the project engineer for an irrigation diversion consolidation and pipeline delivery system off of Challis Creek, a tributary to the Salmon River. The design included a concrete headgate structure, debris screen, flow measurement, and dual delivery pipelines totaling approximately 2,300 feet in length. One pipeline was designed to operate under gravity pressure to provide water to two pre-existing sprinkler systems, and the second pipeline provides unpressurized water for flood irrigation. The flood irrigation delivery pipeline operates as an inverted siphon over approximately 450 feet of its total length.
