Lemhi river multi-landowner bank stabilization project
Following the 2011 high water event that impacted the Multi-Landowner site, Quadrant was charged by IDFG to re-survey the site and deliver an updated topographic map in preparation for final designs. Trout Unlimited retained Lemhi Environmental Consulting to assist in permitting and stream restoration habitat design and implementation. Working with Lemhi Environmental Consulting, Quadrant developed IDFG's preliminary design into final construction plans. Quadrant then provided construction staking and contributed engineering expertise during construction activities. The final project included a full suite of bioengineering stream restoration habitat design techniques employed to armor the eroded channel, while at the same time enhancing in-channel fish habitat. As an extra feature, a portion of an old levee near the project was removed and floodplain connectivity was restored above a local bridge.
